Since 1981 Dawn has been absorbing the environment and cultures of the world through her travels to help her transform collections of found, cast and hewn objects and beads into an unique style of jewellery that combines past traditions with new possibilities of design.

Dawn travels extensively through Asia, India and the Pacific, collecting beads, gemstones and feature pieces, which she uses to create an eclectic range of necklaces and earrings with distinctive designs and colour arrangements.

Where possible, recycled materials are incorporated into a design, giving new life to antique and vintage beads in contemporary settings.

Her passion for the original is evident in jewellery intended to brighten the bodies and lives of her customers.

Her designs have a wealth of stories about the origins of the components, which she regards as an integral part of a design that may later become a future heirloom.

These antique Pashtan tribal silver charms were originally used as clothing decorations. The charms were often made from the silver of boiled down coins collected for the women’s dowry.
